Eating good food has always been a passion of mine it just took me till my twenties to figure out how to make it. I’m a Physchology major turned Food Scientist, fascinated with how ingredients work together. Curiosity is my biggest strength in the kitchen, I want to know the why in each recipe. I especially connect with global flavors and keep striving to expand that knowledge.

Experience

  • Culinary Food Science degree from Iowa State University
  • Three years at Dotdash-Meredith testing and developing recipes
  • Testing 3 to 5 Recipes a day
  • Working for a multitude of print and online brands such as Better Homes and Gardens, Allrecipes, Magnolia, Forks Over Knifes and Midwest Living
  • One year of pitching and executing ideas for social media videos
  • 5 + years experience restaurant industry
  • Taught an International Foods course at Iowa State University
